March 15, 2021 – Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed the scheduling of flights departing from Aeroparque as from March 15, 2021.

After being closed since August 2020 due to runway and terminal extension works, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery resumes operations. The first landing will be a flight coming from the City of Córdoba, scheduled to arrive today at 7:10 p.m. The aircraft to be used for this first flight will be the first Embraer aircraft repainted with the colors of Aerolíneas Argentinas, being this one of the many actions that were part of the “Integral Communications Plan” of the AR/AU Merger project, which has a huge impact on both the public and our passengers.

In the first stage, the EMBRAER 190 fleet will be taken to Aeroparque to cover domestic and regional flights. After March 22, the Boeing 737 fleet will also be taken there in order to cover all routes.

In this way, the company will be able to cover 39 destinations. As from March 16, the Argentine flag carrier will resume flights to the following cities: San Luis, San Juan, Córdoba, Río Cuarto, San Rafael, La Rioja, Jujuy, Santiago del Estero, Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca, Bariloche, Rosario, Corrientes, Comodoro Rivadavia and Río Grande.

During the following days, flights to the rest of the destinations will be added, such as: Esquel, Paraná, Posadas, Trelew, Iguazú, Catamarca, Santa Fe, Ushuaia, Río Gallegos, El Calafate, Viedma, Formosa, Resistencia, Mendoza, San Martin de los Andes, Santa Rosa, Tucumán, Salta and Neuquén.

The following regional flights will be added: São Paulo, Río de Janeiro, Florianopolis, Asunción, Santiago and Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Lima will be added as a new destination to be operated from Aeroparque.
