March 14, 2020 –  Aerolíneas Argentinas announced another special flight. AR1305 flight will depart on March 19, at 6.40 PM from Miami airport to Buenos Aires, so as to comply with the goal set by the Executive Branch of Government of taking back the Argentine people who have not been able to return before the cancellation of flights to Europe and the United States planned for Monday, March 16.

This is the second special flight scheduled to Miami. The first one was announced yesterday and is set to depart on Wednesday, March 18.

Meanwhile, the flights that are part of the regular scheduled operations that will be carried out until and including March 17 (Madrid, Rome, Miami and New York) are fully booked.

Both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and the Argentine flag carrier are permanently sharing data in order to establish a record of the number of Argentine people who are currently abroad, so as to set priorities through the consulates in Europe, the United States and other risk areas for all of them to be able to return to the country.

“This schedule of special flights would be impossible to carry out if it weren’t for the strong commitment of everyone working at Aerolíneas Argentinas and the government bodies with which we are constantly in contact so as to coordinate our efforts,” explained Pablo Ceriani, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

It is worth mentioning that the company has also implemented a contingency plan through a special WhatsApp service, as well as its Call Center and its offices in Europe and the United States. As from this last Friday until today, an average 18,000 daily inquiries were answered. Thus, Aerolíneas Argentinas has requested passengers with either domestic, regional or international flight bookings who don’t need to make any emergency changes not to call so that the company may prioritize the assistance to passengers with flights departing from Europe and the United States.

Aerolíneas Argentinas’ current fleet is of 10 Airbus 330-200 aircraft, with a capacity of 270 seats each, which will be exclusively dedicated to making the special flights planned by the company after all international flights are actually cancelled on a temporary basis as a result of the Executive Order signed by the President of the Nation.
