More than 7,800,000 retirees can travel with Aerolíneas at a 30% discount

04/06/2018

More than 120,000 retirees and pensioners within 14 retirement and pension funds bodies, both national and provincial, have already enjoyed the benefit that allows them to travel to the 37 domestic destinations offered by the company.

Buenos Aires, June 4, 2018 – Aerolíneas Argentinas continues to work for the execution of agreements with retirement and pension funds bodies, both national and provincial, all throughout the country. The number of retirees and pensioners that benefit from the agreements amounts to 7,800,000.

During the last week of May, the following entities adhered to the system of discounts and benefits for retirees: the Institute for Financial Aid for the Payment of Military Retirement and Pension Schemes (IAF), the Social Security Institute of the Province of Corrientes (IPSC), the Retirement and Pension Fund of the Province of Formosa (CPSF) and the Social Security Institute of Neuquén (IMPS).

“Signing these agreements makes our company more competitive with other means of transport and allows our seniors to travel throughout Argentina,” commented Mario Dell’Acqua, President of Aerolíneas Group.

The first agreements of this type were entered into with the Argentine Social Security Administration (ANSES) and the Social Security Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires (IPS) in June 2017. It is worth also mentioning within them the retirement and pension funds of the provinces of Córdoba, Neuquén, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe and Tierra del Fuego.

This discount is offered to the beneficiary and to one companion for all 37 destinations of the company throughout the Argentine Republic. It is offered for flights from Mondays through Thursdays, and beneficiaries will be able to purchase their tickets up to 90 days in advance, depending on the desired destination. It is not eligible for flights during long weekends or the high seasons of each route. Reservations can only be made through Aerolíneas Argentinas’ website by entering the route, the date of the trip and the beneficiary’s Worker Identification Number (CUIL).

This benefit program is aimed at promoting traffic outside the high season or long weekends, taking advantage of the fact that they are potential customers with more availability to travel at any time during the year and any day of the week.
