Buenos Aires, June 5th, 2018 – Today, Aerolíneas Argentinas announced the operating results for the month of May. One of the highlights is the 2% increase in passengers carried in its domestic network, compared to May 2017. During said period, the average punctuality record hit 88.5%, which represents a 2% increase when compared to the previous month and is above the objectives established by the company.

Along the same lines, the number of passengers carried during the first five months of the year amounted to 5,510,000, i.e. a y-o-y growth of 4.6%.

“Passengers support us because they now see Aerolíneas Argentinas as a responsible, professional and reliable company. Indexes do nothing but confirm the good work that is being performed by the operating teams of this company,” expressed Mario Dell’Acqua, President of Aerolíneas Group.

The completion factor, i.e. the number of flights flown compared to the scheduled flights, was 98.9%. For the period as of the beginning of the year, this index reaches 99.3%.

It is worth mentioning that, as from June, Aerolíneas Argentinas offers three new weekly frequencies to Madrid, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in addition to the seven weekly frequencies already operated by the company, in order to face the growing demand for the World Cup. In fact, as from June 1, tickets with a direct connection to Moscow may be purchased through a codeshare agreement signed by this flag carrier and Russian’s flag carrier, Aeroflot.

Among other news, by mid-June, Aerolíneas Argentinas will introduce the fifth Boeing 737 MAX 8 that will be added to its fleet.
