As from June, the total weekly frequencies will reach ten. As from July, a new route between Córdoba and Punta Cana will be operated, with one weekly frequency.

Buenos Aires, February 8, 2018.- As from June, Aerolíneas Argentinas will operate three new frequencies to Madrid-Barajas. In addition to the daily flight departing from Ezeiza International Airport at 11:55 PM, a new flight departing at 12:10 PM will be added on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Incorporating these new frequencies to Madrid means an additional 816 weekly seats bound for the capital city of Spain. Flights will be operated with Airbus 330-200 aircraft from Aerolíneas’ international fleet. This increase in offer is in line with the frequency to Rome that was added last year. Together with the agreement recently signed with Alitalia, the aim is to promote the European destinations of the company.

In turn, as from July, the operation of the route between the city of Córdoba and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, will commence, with a weekly flight departing on Saturdays at 11:45 PM and returning on Sundays at 8:45 AM, local time. It will replace one of the frequencies that used to depart from Buenos Aires.

To apply these changes, the company will reduce one weekly frequency to Bogotá, to where it will continue having a strong offer on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In the case of Cancun, one frequency will be reduced and the company will continue flying on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Mario Dell’Acqua, President of the Aerolíneas Group, explained that “The evolution of the demand allows us to adapt our offer to those destinations where customers want to travel and where we can be more competitive. These changes increase our efficiency and allow us to address the growing demand in a federal manner, boosting Córdoba’s international connectivity.”

Punta Cana will be the second actual international destination that will connect with the province of Córdoba, after the route Córdoba - Santiago de Chile was launched on September 10, 2017, in addition to the seasonal flights from “La Docta” (as Córdoba is popularly known) to Florianopolis, Porto Seguro, Rio de Janeiro, San Salvador de Bahia and Punta del Este.
