Austral led the regional FlightStats punctuality ranking during the first month of the year, while Aerolíneas ranked second in its category.
Buenos Aires, February 16, 2018.- Austral, a member of the Aerolíneas Group, got the first place in the monthly ranking of FlightStats, a global aviation punctuality benchmark. Its report showed an 85.8% of on-time arrivals among the 4,213 Austral flights surveyed. This placed Austral on top of TACA, Latam Argentina and Avianca Ecuador, among others.
In turn, Aerolíneas ranked second in its category, which includes larger airlines in the region. It scored an 85.5% of on-time arrivals among its 10,749 flights analyzed during the month, occupying only one position under Copa Airlines, and on top of Latam Brasil, Azul, Gol, Latam and Aeroméxico, among others.
Mario Dell’ Acqua, President of the Aerolíneas Group, pointed out: “Flight punctuality is one of the goals set by the Aerolíneas Group to keep improving the services we provide to our passengers. The fact that both our airlines reached these standards during such a highly-traffic month as January fills us with pride, and we believe in our operating capacity to keep these levels up during the year.”
This punctuality recognition is in addition to those obtained in the same ranking in March 2017 and November 2016.
