Starting in August Aerolineas Argentinas will once again start flying between El Calafate and Ushuaia.

Aerolíneas Argentinas announced on January 18th that in August it will once again start flying between El Calafate and Ushuaia, after suspending the service in May due to a reduction in demand due to it being low season.

Although it had been announced that the cancellations would include August and September, Grupo Aerolineas confirmed this in August the flights would resume between the two cities with three flights a week. The flights will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using Embraer 190 aircraft. Starting is September the flights will operate daily, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The announcement was made at FITUR in Madrid, after several meetings between Aerolineas Argentinas and   tourism officials from both provinces.
