After departing from the Boeing factory in Seattle, Washington, the plane made a technical stop to refuel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It arrived at Ezeize Ministro Pistarini Airport later that afternoon.
The two other Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes are expected to arrive later this year. One in February and the other in May.
The new plane is expected to operate its first commercial flight on February 5, 2018 to Neuquen. Then, it will operate regular, scheduled commercial flights in Argentina and to the surrounding countries.
It should be noted that Aerolineas Argentinas is the first airline in Latin America to operate this type of plane, one of the most modern planes in the market. The plane has 170 seats (8 in Club Economy and 162 in economy class) and with greater autonomy in flight, this type of aircraft opens new horizons in the market.
