Aerolíneas Argentinas confirms its 8th flight to Moscow in search of vaccines

After yesterday’s arrival, the company has already scheduled a new flight to bring a new batch of Sputnik V vaccines for Sunday at dawn.

March 20, 2021-  Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed the departure of a new flight to bring a new batch of Sputnik V vaccines. This is the eighth flight operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas to Moscow, which departs on Sunday at 2:30 a.m.

With flight number AR1062, the arrival of the flight at the International Sheremetyevo Airport is expected at 1:00 a.m. (local time in Russia). The aircraft will remain until 6:00 a.m. to load the vaccines, and will land at Ezeiza International Airport at 6:35 p.m. next Monday, after 18 flight hours without stopovers.

It is worth noting that last Friday at 2:30 p.m. the seventh flight from Moscow arrived, after 40 hours of operation, including the outbound flight, the loading time, and the return trip.

As of December, Aerolíneas Argentinas has been carrying out special flight operations to bring vaccines into the country. In the seven flights completed to and from the capital of the Russian Federation, 2,799,000 doses of Sputnik V have been brought. Besides, a flight to Beijing, People’s Republic of China, was operated, which brought 908,000 doses of the vaccine manufactured by Sinopharm.

So far, the number of vaccines brought into the country in Aerolíneas Argentinas’ flights adds up to 3,707,000.
