Record week for Aerolíneas Argentinas with over 188,000 tickets sold

AUGUST 3, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has shared the final figures for the “Hot Sale” week: the Company sold 188,661 tickets through its website, which represents 48% more tickets than in 2019.

During the new “Hot Week” and “Hot Sale” editions, domestic tickets accounted for 80% of sales recorded. On the third day of special offers, the Company sold 27,365 tickets to domestic destinations, breaking the historical record set on July 27 which, in

turn, beat the record set in 2019.

As regards domestic flights, the main destinations chosen were Bariloche (17,445 tickets), Ushuaia (11,968 tickets), El Calafate (9,784 tickets), Mendoza (7,642 tickets) and Iguazú (6,540 tickets).

As regards international flights, the main destinations chosen were Madrid, Miami and Cancún.

“These figures allow us to be optimistic about post-pandemic times. Aerolíneas must spearhead the reactivation of the domestic

and receptive tourism industry, generating income and employment in the sector,” expressed Pablo Ceriani, President of

Aerolíneas Argentinas.

The Company has also informed that 54% of the tickets were purchased to travel between December 2020 and March 2021,

whereas 27% of the tickets were purchased to travel between September and November this year.

During August, Aerolíneas Argentinas will be implementing sales initiatives abroad offering tickets at a 20% discount to those

people wishing to visit Argentina between December 1, 2020 and March 30, 2021.

This special offer will allow passengers to combine destinations throughout the Aerolíneas Argentinas flight network within the country, and it will be valid during August in two stages: on the first fifteen days, it will be available for purchases made from

the Americas and, on the remaining days, for purchases made from Europe.
