28/04/2020

April 28, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed two new special flights from Miami and Madrid.

The flight from Miami will arrive at Ezeiza International Airport on Wednesday, April 29, at 10:00 p.m., and the flight from Madrid will do so on May 2 at 2:50 a.m.

Both flights are in addition to the 56 special flights already operated by the company which, starting on March 18, have allowed more than 17,000 Argentine passengers to return to Argentina from Miami, Madrid, Punta Cana, Cancun, Bogota, Quito, Lima, Salvador de Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Porto Seguro and Florianopolis.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday Aerolíneas Argentinas announced a special flight from Barcelona, which is scheduled to arrive in Argentina on May 3. Said flight entails the return of Aerolíneas Argentinas to El Prat International Airport after the cancellation of its regular operation in February 2018.

“We are still working with our minds set on the Argentine citizens who need us. And if we can do this, is because our workers are truly conscious of our role as the Argentine flag carrier,” said Pablo Ceriani, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

It is important to highlight that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship is the authority that defines the lists of passengers based on the priorities established by health protocols. Said modality applies to exceptional flights. That is why passengers have been asked to make their requests through the consular offices.

Lastly, in addition to the special flights, the company has scheduled a total of 8 flights from Shanghai, China, with the purpose of bringing medical supplies, reagents and health materials to the country, for their distribution and use in the Argentine Public Healthcare System. The fifth of these flights will depart from Ezeiza International Airport today at 11:30 p.m.
