Aerolíneas Argentinas schedules 15 new special flights, thus totaling 32 special flights

March 20, 2020 – Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced the addition of special flights to new destinations as well as more frequencies.

In the case of Miami, two new special flights departing on March 26 and 27 have been confirmed, thus totaling nine scheduled flights from this destination in the US.

A new special flight will depart from Madrid on March 26, this being the fifth frequency scheduled by the company from the Barajas Airport.

Five new frequencies departing from Lima are currently in process and are subject to the authorization of the Peruvian authorities. This means that there will be seven special flights, departing on March 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 (two daily flights on March 22 and 23). Said flights will allow the return of a large number of Argentine people who have contacted Aerolíneas Argentinas after the massive flight cancellation of companies such as Avianca and Latam. It is worth mentioning that Peruvian citizens may return to their country on some of our flights.

For the Argentine people who are in Brazil, two new flights from Rio de Janeiro were scheduled today, which are in addition to the two flights that were announced yesterday together with two other special flights from São Paulo. A special flight departing from Florianópolis on March 22 will also be available for the Argentine people, thus totaling seven special flights.

Along the same lines, two special flights will depart from Cancun on March 25 and 27.

Lastly, the company scheduled two special flights departing from Bogotá on March 21 and 22, with the aim of bringing back passengers with tickets from other companies. The company also decided to change to March 22 the departure of it regular flight from Bogotá scheduled for March 23, so as to dodge the shutdown of operations commencing on that day. Similarly, flights with Punta Cana have been scheduled for March 21 and 22.

As from the closing of regular operations on March 16, Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced an aggregate of 28 special flights, meaning that more than 7,500 seats have been made available for the Argentine passengers who are waiting to return home.
