66,000 tickets were booked during the special offer launched yesterday, while the remaining 54,000 bookings are for tickets not covered by the offer. This number represents a 243% increase if compared to an average day.
Buenos Aires, August 2, 2018.- Aerolíneas Argentinas recorded 120,000 ticket bookings during the first 24 hours of the special offer in place since yesterday. The company offers a 50% off in the average on tickets in its over 60 routes.
It is worth mentioning that 47% of such bookings are for tickets not sold under the special offer. These are passengers excited about the possibility of flying who decided to book their tickets even without any discounts. Usually, 33,000 tickets are booked daily with the company, but there was an additional of 21,000 customers who booked tickets at full fares.
These bookings were made between August 1 at 8 a.m. and 8 a.m. today. All 120,000 bookings represent a 243% increase with respect to the usual daily average. 66,000 of those bookings were made under the special offer.
The offer is to fly throughout the country from ARS499. It is worth remembering that the prices published are final per segment and include seat selection, on-board meals (for flights of over 2 hours of duration) and a carry-on bag allowance of up to 8 kilos in the cabin.
