Following the arrival of the last flight on Monday, the company has confirmed that a new flight
will be departing on Thursday late at night. It is the ninth flight to the capital city of the Russian
Federation.
March 24, 2021 - Aerolíneas Argentinas has confirmed the departure of a new flight in search of more
Sputnik V vaccine doses. This is the ninth flight to the capital city of the Russian Federation operated by
the company.
With flight number AR1064, it will depart at 1:30 a.m. from the Ezeiza International Airport, and it is expected
to arrive at the Sheremetyevo International Airport on March 26 at 12 a.m. (local time in Russia). The aircraft
will remain there until 5:00 a.m. for the loading of the vaccines, and will land in Argentina next Friday at 5:35 p.m.
“Our job is just another link in the chain of efforts that the National Government is making to get the doses of
vaccines necessary to protect the people from this virus, which is causing considerable damage. We are ready to
do it, and we do it responsibly, since it is a task that calls for us to rise to the occasion,” stated Pablo Ceriani,
President of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
It is worth noting that, on Monday at 4:45 p.m., the eighth flight to Moscow operated by Aerolíneas arrived in
Argentina, with 500,000 new doses.
Since December, Aerolíneas Argentinas has been operating special flights to bring vaccines into the country. Thanks
to the eight flights operated to and from the Russian Federation, 3,299,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine have been
brought to Argentina. The company also scheduled a flight to Beijing, China, which carried 908,000 doses of the
vaccine manufactured by Sinopharm.
So far, the number of vaccines brought into the country in flights operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas amounts to
4,207,000.
