Shanghai and Madrid: More flights operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas

The Argentine flag carrier has confirmed 4 new flights to China and another 2 flights to the capital of Spain.

July 2, 2020 – With the departure of flight AR1074 last night, Aerolíneas Argentinas began a new stage of operations consisting of 4 sanitary flights to Shanghai with the purpose of bringing crucial medical supplies to fight COVID-19.

The three remaining flights will depart on July 4, 7 and 10 and are in addition to the 32 flights that the Company has already operated since April 15. So far, 530 tons of health and medical supplies have been brought from the Asian country.

Additionally, the Company announced another two new special flights to Madrid scheduled to depart on July 13 and 24 including their respective next-day return flights. As usual, such flights are authorized to carry Spanish or European residents with connecting flights to other destinations within the EU on their outbound segments. Up to now, the Company has operated 106 special international flights which have allowed for more than 28,000 Argentine citizens to return to the country. In the same vein, 4,600 residents of other countries were able to return to their homes. The Company has also operated 117 special domestic flights.
